My husband, mom, and I went the the Island Room because we were looking for a high-end place to eat in Cedar Key. The first impression was that we were in the right place. The restaurant is a bit hidden. The food was very expensive. The tables had table cloths. The servers had an air of pomp. Unfortunately, we came to the conclusion that the restaurant was a pretender.
My clam pasta was flavorless. My husband's rice was hard. That said, my mom enjoyed her meal. They both liked the dessert.
Overall, this place is overpriced for what you get and honestly worth skipping entirely.
